Valentine hits threeas Juniors run riot

MOSTON Juniors under nines A turned in a steady performance in beating Chadderton Park A 5-0.

Moston got off to a flyer, and it was no surprise when Joe Valentine struck to give them the lead.

It soon became 2-0. Jordan Todd unleashed a trademark pile-driver which flew into a top corner of the net.

Chadderton started to get into the game and forced goalkeeper Connor Kearney into action, but he looked comfortable.

Just before half time Juniors made it 3-0 with a fine team goal.

Good work down the left by Jordan Todd released Joe Valentine who picked out Tom Sloyan to tap home at the far post.

The second half wasn’t as fluent.

The highlights came when player of the match Joe Valentine completed his hat-trick with two strikes.

A good ball from debutant Gideon Adu-Peprah released Valentine on the halfway line, and after running clear he slotted home into a bottom corner.

The goal of the game followed a weaving run from the halfway line in which Valentine beat three men then the keeper.

Juniors B team won the game of the day in the B Division. They overcame league leaders 3D Dynamos.

A goal from leading scorer Aaron Whiteside was enough to see them to victory in what was a terrific team display.
