Golfing girls high in the Order

GIRLS from Manchester Golf Club have finished second and third in the English Ladies Golf Association’s Order of Merit for under 18s.


Positions in the Merit are based on placings in contests throughout the season.


Rachel Connor (right) finished with 689 points.


Kelly Tidy (left) had 623 points and an advantage of more than 400 points over the fourth-placed golfer.


The winner, with 735 points, was Florentyna Parker of the Royal Birkdale club.
