Juniors grab late goal to clinch title

MOSTON Juniors under 11s travelled to play Boundary Park Juniors knowing that a point was all they needed to clinch the Tameside League title.
There was a tense start to the match, but once they got into their passing game Moston began to grow in confidence.
Those early nerves were settled midway through the first half when Jack Holmes scored after some excellent solo work on the left.
Boundary grew in confidence, but it was against the run of play that they equalised.
Nerves then played a part, and disaster struck when Boundary took the lead three minutes from time.
Champions sometimes have to prove why they have earned the tag, so, with sleeves rolled up, Moston set about grabbing the point they desperately needed.
An all out assault on the Boundary goal ensued, and the glory fell to Joe Burrell who ghosted into the box at the far post to thunder the ball home.
