Five-goal spree extends impressive run

MOSTON Juniors under nines A team extended its impressive recent run with a thumping 5-1 win against a plucky AFC Clayton side.

The first half was a tight affair. Clayton had the first real chance, but a great save by Connor Kearney kept the scores level.

Juniors then came more into the game, and after a period of dominance they deservedly took the lead.

A fine move started by Bradley Jackson was finished byReece Axon.

The second half was dominated by Juniors, and substitute Jack O’Leary scored a quickfire hat-trick. He also saw another effort rebound off the bar.

Gideon Adu-Peprah, in only his second game, also made an impact.

He saw his sweetly struck volley come back off a post, but then headed in Juniors’ fifth.

AFC Clayton, to their credit, kept going and bagged a late consolation goal.
