Falcons strike back to claim a good victory

MOSTON Valley Falcons under 13s were soon behind in their match against AFC Oldham.

But they quickly equalised with a great finish from Karl Valentine.

Valentine struck again early in the second half, then Luke Jackson claimed his first goal for Valley.

Oldham fought back, but Falcon keeper Ryan Hughes worked splendidly to deny them.

Falcons sealed the game with a Wayne Sikhosana finish.

Player of the match was Ryan Sheppard who worked hard throughout and played some great football.

Mikey Armstrong also had a great game for Falcons.

MOSTON Valley under 10 girls, pictured, met Heyside Angels Navy.

Moston started strongly and looked in charge of the game.

Demi Thomas, who had been keeper all season, returned to an outfield position and was first to hit the target.

Moston maintained the pressure, and Thomas slotted in another goal.

Heyside tried hard to recover, but the final whistle went with Moston still 2-0 up.

Britany Power, Lois John, Tia John, Katie Farnsworth, Jade Armstrong, Tyler Roston and Catherine Davies played well for Moston.
