Thought Boyata had another good game, i wouldn't drop him when lescott and Toure are back, i'd drop Garrido and play Lescott left back. Unlucky City, not our day. Let's focus on prem top 4, and maybe even the FA Cup!

If he did watch, what he would have learned was that if he couldn't get in a team like that, then he is better off getting out. No doubt he thought to himself that this team does not want talented and skillful players, just those that run a lot.

Weren't you a comedy character in Viz?
Obviously not as funny as Postman Plod, Roger Mellie or Norbert Colon, but a character all the same.

As for the second half, we allowed United to have too much time on the ball after the break, which was reminiscent of the League game there this season. We must learn to impose ourselves on them better than we have. We need to play with greater intensity.
We lost our concentration (which is forgivable) after Craig Bellamy was hit by at least one object and that cost us dear. Our shape was also affected by that incident as Barry had to take that the corner instead of the recovering Bellers, thus disrupting how we are set up. It was no coincidence that United scored straight after that. The offending rag cretin in the stands may have been caught, and may well be rightly prosecuted and get a ban, but that doesn’t help City on the pitch. The game should have been stopped to allow Bellamy to feel ready to take the corner and so that City were not disadvantaged in any way.
Richards, Boyata and Kompany did well last night: but our weakness was down the left, where Garrido struggles at the highest level. Wayne Bridge will be returning soon but he will need to be at his very best: surely left back is a priority area for strengthening.
Tevez’s brilliant goal, where he just beat Ferdinand, to skilfully flick past Van Der Sar was top draw and should have been the platform to us going on. It wasn’t to be.
We were eventually undone by a moment of poor defending which allowed Rooney to capitalise at the end. We cannot allow a player of that quality so much room. It was a real shame, because we were looking dangerous in those last few minutes and with Bellamy and Tevez, we always have the ability to hurt United.
In the wreckage of such a crushing disappointment, we have to maintain our perspective. We are getting closer and closer to the Top.

Steve, if as you say Robinho watched that, then he would have learnt nothing about pride and passion in playing for City in a derby game, as none of the 11 players out there last night displayed any themselves, last week at home we had, fight, pride, passion, desire, heart and the will to win......last night we had none of any of them.

This is not a great United team and we allowed them to look a lot better than they are, Shrek apart they have got nothing to worry about, but with City getting no spark, energy or protection to the back 4 from that pathetic trio of DM's who last night were garbage at best and pathetic the rest of the time, it is no wonder.
And some wonder why Vieira was bought and the manager is targetting Flamini, Gago and other defensive midfielders, is that the 3 he has got are simply out of their depth, they don't have the stomach for a fight, and have been rubbish now for too long, we have got away with it too much because of the brilliance from SWP, Petrov, Bellers, Tevez and Robinho more often than not this season have been the difference, by creating another goal after that lot behind them had failed to do their job.
I expected more from the lads last night and was badly let down, and if Mancini doesn't improve himself soon and start to ditch the ditherers (de Jong, Barry, Garrido, Ireland and Adebayor) then he will be ditched himself in May and this process starts all over again.

Lescott was coming good right before the operation. Typical City, some might say!

Look at the way Leeds played them, with a far inferior side they refused to yield the middle of the park and gave as good as they got in every area. Look at the way Stoke played Arsenal in the FA cup - they didn't let them have free ball in the middle to pick a pass. Closed them down in the middle then dropped back when required, but also got forward when required. And in the end they beat them easily, and deservedly.
The coin/bottle throwing was a disgrace. Just like the Arsenal fans at our place, they like to talk all unconcerned but fact is they feel threatened and can't handle it.
Still have the FA cup which, Chelsea aside would be wide open this season and of course we're well placed to push on in the league with a number of key players coming back into contention.
