3981. A bit about ... Johnny Roadhouse

MUSICIAN Johnny Roadhouse was a founder member of the BBC Northern Variety Orchestra and backed stars ranging from Bob Hope to Elton John. The 84-year-old also still runs his music shop on Oxford Road and last month was honoured by the Lord Mayor of Manchester in recognition of his 65 years service to entertainment.
