Council probe as tenants' details 'dumped' at flats

ELECTORAL forms containing the personal details of an entire tower block were 'dumped' on the ground floor of the building.

Residents at Bradford Court, Moston, were shocked to find their forms left on top of a dry riser - an appliance installed for the fire brigade to distribute water - rather than hand delivered to their doors.

Manchester City Council say they are currently investigating the matter.

Tony Lamb, 64, said: "These letters with everybody's electoral details were just dumped there. It's not acceptable.

"Someone is paid to hand-deliver these things, not just leave them for anyone to pick up.

"They were left on bank holiday Monday, so I know it wasn't the post office who delivered them.

"You'd expect people to be a bit more careful at a time when there's so much concern over data loss."

A spokesperson for Manchester City Council said: "We are currently investigating this matter and will take appropriate action should this be necessary."
