Man hunted after flashing at young girls

A PERVERT exposed himself to two 10-year-old girls in Blackley.

At about 3.45pm on Saturday (16 August), the girls were walking along Plant Hill Road when they were called over by a man sitting in a parked black Vauxhall Astra.

The man asked the girls for directions to Middleton before exposing himself and asking them, "have you ever seen one of these?"

The girls ran away and the man drove off. He's described as white, about 35 years old, of thin build with a shaved head. He was wearing a white Nike T-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms.

One of the victims' mothers told The Advertiser: "My daughter's still really upset. She's not come out of her room since Saturday. What this man did was disgusting."

Police sergeant Stephen Hogg from the Plant Hill neighbourhood policing team said: "The two girls have been left understandably upset by this man's actions.

"What he has done is completely unacceptable and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or who recognises the description of the offender to contact us.

"I would like to reassure parents in the area that these types of incidents are rare but I would urge people to be vigilant and come forward with any details they think can assist police."
