‘My life will never be the same’

SANDERSON’S victim says he bears him no malice but his life has changed forever.

Mr Malone said: "I can't go back to a normal life.

"I just could never do it again, so after Christmas we are moving out of the pub. So he has cost me my livelihood as well."

He added: "I am a very forgiving man but I am happy about the sentencing.

"I'm glad he cannot try and get parole for six years and I just hope that he comes out a better person, I really do."

His memories of the horrific night he was attacked are still painful.

He said: "He attacked me from behind and then he used by face as a human football.

"Because no one was around I was on the ground for about 15 minutes, lying in my own blood until I was found."

Terry was taken to North Manchester General Hospital but then had to be rushed to Manchester Royal Infirmary for an emergency operation to remove a blood clot on his eye.

Since then he has had to have an eight-hour operation to reconstruct his face.

He said: "I now look half human after the operation they have done a marvellous job I'm very grateful.

"I was in hospital for around six days, but even after the operations I will never regain my sight again."
