THE Friends of Blackley Forest are asking people to take part in a bulb planting session. People are asked to bring along a spade and help plant the bulbs, which have been left unplanted due to the cold weather, in the beech wood at 10.00 am. Anyone wishing to help out is asked to meet at the Blackley New Road entrance. Children are invited to join in. For more information contact Dot on 0161 795 0900.
Thursday March 18
A TEA Dance will be held at Higher Blackley Community Centre on Victoria Avenue. The afternoon of music and fun starts at 1pm - 3.45 pm and costs £1.50 which includes hot pot and refreshments. For more information contact Elaine from Zest 0161 655 7886.
A SPRING fair is being held in Gorton in aid of Sutton Seniors Over 60's Group. It will take place at Sunnybrow Lounge on Collin Avenue, off Darras Road from midday to 2pm.
